ALPHA ZETA

Alpha Zeta is a national honorary professional society of men and women in the natural resource sciences. Membership is by invitation only, and is selected from the top 40% of each class of sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Ideals of the organization are to foster high standards of scholarship, character, leadership, and fellowship, to strive for breadth of vision, unity of action, and accomplishment of ideals, and to render service to renewable resource professions. The UL Lafayette chapter is the Louisiana Beta Chapter and was chartered in 1964, Dr. Leon Labbe is a charter member and is faculty advisor to the group. Initiation is in the Fall semester, by invitation, and requires completion of pledge activities and a formal initiation ceremony. More information is available at www.alphazeta.org
