Model Sustainable Agricultural Complex

In 1978 , the Univeristy of Louisiana at Lafayette purchased 600 acres of the former W.J. Bernard farm located in Cade, Louisiana in St. Martin Parish.

The objective is to provide a practical education and field experience to the students and to serve as a living laboratory for interdisciplinary research in agriculturaltechnology and environmental stewardship.
