CRAWFISH
RESEARCH CENTER
The Crawfish Research Center was
established in 1976 to serve this regionally important
production industry through demonstrations, outreach, and
training. Sixty
acres is dedicated to 17 small replicate ponds and two
larger production units. Some research activities include:
crawfish
feeding, management, genetics, reproductive physiology,
soft-shell crawfish production, integration of fish and
crawfish production, vertebrate biodiversity and agricultural
systems.
